Architect – High-Rise & Building Safety Specialist

We are seeking a talented and experienced Architect (circa 5+ years post-Part 3) to join our well-established, medium-sized architectural practice based in Leeds city centre.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the design and delivery of major high-rise and high-risk buildings (HRBs), contributing to landmark residential and mixed-use developments up to 25 storeys, alongside a diverse portfolio that includes specialist care homes, listed building conversions, and bespoke private residences.

You’ll take ownership of significant projects from concept through to completion, with a particular focus on high-rise, mixed-use developments and ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act. As Principal Designer, you will oversee design risk management and coordinate health & safety compliance across the design team.

Why join this practice?

They offer a collaborative, design-led environment with exceptional staff retention, thanks to their engaging cross-sector portfolio, flexible working culture, and genuinely supportive team.

You’ll have the chance to lead high-profile, technically challenging projects, with ongoing CPD and support to further develop your expertise in Building Safety Act obligations and Principal Designer duties under CDM regulations.
