A well-established, award-winning Architectural Practice is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, confident, well-organised and committed Architectural Technologist to join their Leeds City centre studio.
The successful Architectural Technologist with ideally 2-5 years’ experience, will assist in the continued growth and profitability of the Practice who employ 60+ staff across five national offices. The team and practice have been accredited to an Investors in People (IIP) Gold standard, rated as the second-highest scoring architecture practice on the IIP international database. They pride themselves on their commitment to Sustainability and Health and Wellbeing, both in design and creating a healthy environment within which to work.
They also have a truly varied and diverse portfolio of project work that is both challenging and design focussed, typically our client are known historically for their work in the Education sector, more recently they have successfully diversified into Commercial & Industrial, Healthcare, Leisure & Arts, Residential and Sports / recreational spaces.
Role & Responsibilities of the Architectural Technologist
- Management of the day-to-day technical delivery of projects, working in collaboration with the team. You must therefore be able to demonstrate strong capabilities across RIBA stages 4-7
- Production of planning and construction drawing packages - drawings, schedules, and specifications.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, local planning authorities and building control.
- Coordinating work by external consultants and internally with the rest of the team.
- Working within project teams and independently, where required.
Qualifications and Experience for the Architectural Technologist.
- Architectural Technologist with circa 2-5 years’ experience within Architectural Practice.
- Keen to work on projects from inception to completion (RIBA stages 0-7)
- Extensive experience in preparing planning and working drawing construction packages and good knowledge of UK building regulations, planning policy and quality standards.
- Proven design capability, creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- The majority of our projects are delivered in REVIT therefore knowledge and experience would be advantageous.

Salary depending on experience and negotiable for the right candidate is in the region of £30,000 - £37,000 per annum plus a very generous benefits package.
