Architectural Technologist

Experienced Architectural Technologist required to support the delivery of a wide variety of Retail projects for our esteemed AJ100 client located in Chesterfield.

Immersed in a series of major design commissions you will be joining the commercial team of this well-known Practice and be thrust into supporting a variety of new projects initially focussed within their Retail division which has an enviable portfolio of blue chip clients. some cross over into their Residential division.

The Architectural Technologist will be expected to produce clear, concise and detailed working drawing packages, alongside details, specifications and schedules to a consistently high standard and with thorough regard to current UK Building Regulations and legislation. The construction drawings are produced using REVIT software so a proficient user is required, however candidates with some REVIT experience (either a course or some basic knowledge) will be considered as they do have an in-house REVIT / BIM academy which can be utilised for the right candidate. An Architectural Technologist with an experience range of circa 5-10 years if preferred, but more or less experience will be considered.

Requirements for the Architectural Technologist as follows -

  • Comprehensive understanding of current UK Building Regulations and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong technical knowledge.
  • Tenacity to work independently and have excellent communication skills.
  • Collate and organise technical information.
  • Ability to investigate technical information and factors that affect developments including user needs, site and building surveys and regulatory requirements•
  • Ability to monitor and influence health and safety in design
  • Prepare design proposals in REVIT
  • Contribute to the detailed design process and co-ordinate the design information
  • Prepare specifications, drawings, land and documents for statutory approval

Benefits and salary

Starting salary depending on experience and suitability £35,000 - £40,000 per annum based on 35 hours per week.
