ASSOCIATE (civil/structural)
£60,000 - £70,000 per annum + plus benefits (Permanent)

An associate Level Structural Engineer is sought to join a large sized multi-disciplinary practice located in Newark.
You will be a Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer with a proven track record of successful delivery of design projects from concept to detailed design and completion of construction and you will be responsible for the technical direction of our client’s projects. Credibility, competence, and technical excellence are a given as the role requires close working with external clients, decision makers, industry stakeholders and other consultants to develop robust design solutions through collaborative and proactive management of client demands - providing leadership from both a technical delivery and people management perspective.
You will be required to demonstrate a developed understanding of the local market within the Midlands and ability to focus our business to take full advantage of market conditions and have extensive experience in preparing bids and tendering opportunities.
The Newark office provides multidisciplinary design and engineering services and integrated solutions across a wide range of sectors. Drawing upon a diverse skill set and a proven track record of delivery we are playing a leading role in some of the world’s most challenging and exciting engineering projects. These include Education, Commercial, Residential, Airports, Defence, Energy, Civil Infrastructure, and Rail.
REQUIREMENTS: -
- Undertake, and technically lead teams in Civil Engineering designs and Coordination.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
- Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
- Chartered Civil / Structural Engineer with strong experience track record.
- Experience in design delivery, including coordinating with other disciplines in multidisciplinary design.
- Sound knowledge in design and analysis of heavy concrete and steel structures, and familiarity with current design standards and working practices, both British Standards and Euro codes.
- Experience leading a design team.
