Associate Civil Engineer

£70,000 - £77,000 per annum plus benefits

West Dulwich (Working from home available)

 

Our client, an innovative and thriving engineering practice in southeast London is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to join them on a full-time permanent basis.

 

This company works on projects of all scales and the more complex and challenging they are the better. They are seeking a talented and experienced Associate Civil Engineer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis to play a leading role within their infrastructure team on the design of a range of civil engineering projects.

 

As an Associate Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a key member of their team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure solutions for a wide range of projects. Your technical expertise and leadership skills will be instrumental in driving the success of our initiatives.

 

Projects include residential, education, healthcare, arts and leisure, commercial and infrastructure.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with project managers, architects, and stakeholders to define infrastructure requirements and develop solutions;
  • Conducting feasibility studies and providing expert recommendations on infrastructure enhancements and upgrades;
  • Overseeing the implementation of infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to best practices, timelines, and budgetary constraints;
  • Performing infrastructure assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and optimization;
  • Mentoring and guiding junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

 

Requirements:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering;
  • A Chartered or near Chartered engineer would be ideal;
  • A minimum of 8 years’ design consultancy experience;
  • Proven experience as an infrastructure engineer, demonstrating strong technical skills and expertise in infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance;
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar;
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
