associate director civil/structural engineer

£70,000 - £80,000 per annum + plus benefits (Permanent)

An international multi-disciplined consultancy is on the lookout for an Associate Director to join a team of enthusiastic and committed Engineers to work on high profile and interesting projects in their Civil/structures team.

As an Associate Director in Civil Structural Engineering team, you'll play a vital role in every aspect of business development and heavy civil engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad. 

They specialise in all aspects of heavy civil engineering, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Water. They continue to provide industry-leading engineering solutions right through the project lifecycle, with value added through client-side support as well as construction phases. Your Purpose 

  • Own and direct teams who undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels. 
  • Defining briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals. 
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes. 
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions. 
  • Setting quality assurance standards in design. 
  • Grow, develop, and manage heavy civil engineering capability within the practice. 

 

What you can bring 

  • Chartered Civil / Structural Engineer or similar. 
  • Experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge in design and analysis of heavy civil engineering structures, including reinforced concrete and/or steel with experience across all design phases and construction. Familiarity with current design standards and working practices (British Standards and possibly American codes).
