JOB DESCRIPTION:
As the Bridges Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the successful delivery of bridge projects throughout the UK. This position requires a Chartered Engineer with a strong background in bridge engineering, an excellent understanding of Network Rail (NR) Common Framework, and Network Rail Contractor Responsible Engineer (CRE) duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
Take charge of bridge projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's specifications.
Technical Expertise:
Utilise your extensive experience to provide technical leadership in all aspects of bridge engineering, including design, inspection, maintenance, and asset management.
CRE Duties:
Serve as the Network Rail Contractor Responsible Engineer (CRE), providing expert guidance and ensuring compliance with NR standards and procedures.
Team Management:
Lead and motivate a team of bridge engineers and professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Client Relations:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring project delivery aligns with their expectations.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain strict quality control and assurance measures to ensure the highest standards of project delivery.
Health & Safety:
Champion safety on project sites, ensuring all activities comply with health and safety regulations.
Cost Management:
Effectively manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and optimizing resource allocation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) and membership with a recognised engineering institution.
- Proven track record of delivering successful bridge projects in the UK.
- Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards and procedures.
- Previous experience as a CRE for bridge projects is highly desirable.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management abilities. An in-depth understanding of health and safety regulations.
