An opportunity with a difference here, representing our excellent Chartered Architectural Practice client in Leeds, we are looking for a key individual who is currently operating at Architectural Technologist / Senior Technologist level who is keen to diversify into a role delivering Building Regulations / Principal Designer responsibilities.
Our ambitious client has grown significantly in recent years, largely facilitated by further expanding their operations by opening a Leeds city centre hub to service the demands of their blue chips clients who they work in close partnership with across the UK. Their robust portfolio and reputation for delivering inspiring designs has seen their portfolio of work grow to span multiple sectors to include, Retail, Logistics & Distribution commercial units, Residential healthcare developments, new build residential and property conversions.
Due to strong client demand for the BRPD services an opportunity here awaits for an experienced Architectural Technologist with circa 5-10 years’ experience, ideally MCIAT or working towards who is keen to diversify into a role where they will undertake the Building Regulations / Principal Designer responsibilities. Whilst the individual will remain part of the design team and work alongside their Technical Director, it is envisaged the role will be split 50/50 between traditional Architectural Technologist duties and the BR / Principal Designer responsibilities.
The suitable candidate will ideally be a proficient Revit user and possess a wide range of technical knowledge, solid knowledge of UK building regulations and the desire to contribute to the progressive growing of the business. You will have excellent client facing skills and be keen to develop into a role where you will be developing solid client relationships which you will be encouraged to meet and regularly interact with.
In terms of the BRPD role, we need someone who is a meticulous planner and can coordinate, monitor and manage design work to ensure if built, complies with building safety regulations. This is expected to be real growth market in the coming years so an excellent opportunity exists to join a superb business that will help you develop a very niche skillset.

The Architectural Technologist will receive a salary and benefits as follows -
- Salary £35,000 - £45,000
