Our client, a leading multi-discipline construction and property consultancy, is currently seeking a skilled and ambitious Building Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Leeds. The successful candidate will be covering all aspects of professional and project related building surveying across a range of sectors including residential, educational, commercial, industrial.

 

Responsibilities of the Building Surveyor:

  • Conduct detailed building surveys and inspections, identifying defects, and providing accurate reports and recommendations.
  • Assess and report on building conditions, including structural integrity, defects, and repairs required.
  • Prepare and manage project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on construction-related matters, including maintenance, refurbishment, and renovation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, building codes, and best practices.
  • Oversee and monitor the progress of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring excellent communication and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, technical knowledge, and relevant legislation, implementing changes as necessary.

 

Requirements of the Building Surveyor:

  • Degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
  • Proven professional experience as a Building Surveyor within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A full driving licence
  • Desire to become a Chartered Building Surveyor in the near future

 

On offer for the Building Surveyor:

  • A starting salary of between £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
