A well-established, multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join its growing Oxford team. You’ll join a developing team focused on delivering high-quality surveying services to key client accounts, with the chance to help shape team culture and mentor junior colleagues as the group grows.
The role offers a blend of office-based collaboration, site inspections across the UK, and flexibility for hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop detailed client briefs alongside senior colleagues
- Deliver project work and professional instructions across commercial, retail, and education sectors
- Produce designs, specifications, and tender documentation
- Administer JCT contracts
- Undertake a broad range of professional services including:
- Condition surveys
- Specific defect analysis
- Party wall matters
- Dilapidations
- Reinstatement cost assessments
- Manage relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Support team leaders in mentoring junior staff and managing project finances
- Contribute to client development and internal team growth
Candidate Requirements
- MRICS qualified
- Proven experience advising on commercial, retail, or educational properties
- Comfortable leading both project and professional workstreams
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office (NBS Chorus experience beneficial but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
