Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Contracts Manager to join our team based in Central Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with main contracting experience at either Contracts Manager level or Senior Project Manager level looking to make a step up. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a variety of new build projects, ranging in value and complexity, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the delivery of multiple new build projects simultaneously, from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, managing risks, and identifying opportunities to add value throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Leading and managing project teams, including site management, commercial, and design teams, to ensure effective delivery of projects.
  • Preparing and presenting regular project reports to senior management and clients, including progress reports, financial reports, and risk analysis reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations, including the implementation of effective safety management systems on all projects.

Skills and Experience:

  • A proven track record in the successful delivery of new build projects as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager.
  • Main contracting experience is essential.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage project teams effectively.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to manage project finances effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety legislation and regulations, and experience in implementing effective safety management systems on projects.
  • A relevant degree qualification or equivalent experience.
