As Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing engineering activities related to offshore and wind farm projects. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, ensuring effective collaboration and utilization of resources to achieve project goals and deadlines.
- Oversee the engineering design, development, and implementation of offshore and wind farm projects, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with LOLLER, PUWER, and PSSR regulations.
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules, monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team, encouraging creative solutions and efficient practices.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, construction, and operations to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance and effective communication.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and integrity of the projects.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes, and apply relevant knowledge to enhance project performance.
Ideal Background/Requirements:
- Engineering degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Renewable Energy).
- Proven experience in engineering management, preferably within the offshore or wind farm sector.
- Strong understanding and experience of LOLLER, PUWER, and PSSR regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of offshore and wind farm projects, including design, construction, installation, and maintenance.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving project objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Project management experience, including the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards and practices within the offshore and wind farm industry.
