My client is looking to bring in a Geo-Environmental Engineer into their Exeter office. They offer consultancy and design services to a diverse clientele, including engineers, house-builders, oil companies, and local authorities. Job Responsibilities:
- Engaging in various geo-environmental projects for external clients and collaborating with other teams within RSK.
- Assisting in ground investigations and desk studies.
- Conducting soil logging according to current UK standards, including coordinating laboratory schedules.
- Hands-on experience with soil sampling and water monitoring/sampling.
- Crafting factual and interpretative reports, with knowledge of geotechnical reporting requirements being advantageous.
- Familiarity with contaminated land legislation and reporting standards.
- Preparation of factual site investigation data.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possession of a BSc or equivalent in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- An MSc is desirable but not mandatory.
- Working towards membership of a relevant professional body, with a long-term goal of achieving chartership with a relevant institution.
- Experience in site inspections and reporting, preferably in residential developments.
- Capability to complete factual and interpretative assessments at a basic level.
- Ability to manage projects, collaborate within a multidisciplinary consultancy, and demonstrate a track record of effective time and resource management.
Salary and Benefits:
- Annual salary range of £28,000 - £32,000.
