Are you a Middleweight Interior Designer who has been waiting for the right opportunity to further your career within a creative design consultancy based just outside of Coventry city centre?

Conrad Consulting are currently working together with a thriving design consultancy in their search for a talented Middleweight Interior Designer to join their close-nit team on a permanent basis.

The company are a well-established, multiple award-winning practice who have established a prominent reputation in the industry and now boast an enviable portfolio of clientele throughout the UK. The core sectors the practice work within include; Hospitality, Retail and Leisure, with a mixture of both repeat and new clients using their services. You will predominantly be focusing on retail brand roll outs in the first instance, with other sectors coming to the fore after this busy period in the Retail sector.

It is hoped that the successful Interior Designer holds around 2-6 years’ experience working within a commercially led Interior Designer Practice with project experience including Retail & Leisure sectors.

The studio have implemented a flexible/agile working model that will see you working from home up to 3-4 days a week (personal preference), with the office generally being full on Mondays & Thursdays. Having a couple of days in the office means social activities and meetings can be held face to face, while keeping hold of the working from home flexibility.

Responsibilities of the Interior Designer:

  • Utilise AutoCAD and Photoshop to produce high quality detailed drawings, schedules and colour/mood boards.
  • Produce initial sketches of spatial layouts.
  • Produce sketches of the detailed design elements to demonstrate an understanding of the 3D realisation of plans.
  • Liaise with clients to respond to any queries regarding live projects.
  • Develop and maintain a sound understanding of computer based design software.

 
Skills and Characteristics required of the Interior Designer:

  • A degree in Interior Designer or equivalent/relevant qualification.
  • Creative flair and ability to think dynamically.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Sector experience in Hospitality, Retail and Leisure (desirable).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD & Photoshop

 
A salary in the region of £30,000 - £36,000 (dependant on experience) per annum will be on offer to the successful applicant, alongside an attractive benefits package.
