I am excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic and driven individual to join our client’s team as a Land & Property Manager. This new and evolving role encompasses four key areas: Rural, Commercial, Industrial, and Renewables. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client’s land and property portfolio, with the chance to grow and develop your own team. Some international travel may be required.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Land & Property Manager:

  • Rural Management: Oversee the management of rural estates, ensuring sustainable land use and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Commercial & Industrial Properties: Manage our clients diverse commercial and industrial property portfolio, focusing on maximising rental income and asset value.
  • Renewables: Lead initiatives in renewable energy projects, identifying opportunities for development and enhancing our sustainability footprint.
  • Property Records Management: Maintain comprehensive records of the company's global property interests, including ownership, leases, and other agreements. Advise local site leaders and office managers on critical timelines for lease expirations, renewals, options, and other time-sensitive agreements.
  • Property Maintenance: Implement a thorough maintenance program for all residential properties in Scotland, ensuring they are well-maintained, secure, and compliant with regulations. Manage maintenance costs with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with both internal stakeholders, and local communities to develop and implement projects affecting or affected land and residential properties. Maintain positive relationships with neighbouring properties and communities.
  • Natural Capital Enhancement: Proactively identify and implement initiatives to enhance the natural capital within the company's estate, promoting biodiversity, conservation, nature restoration, wildlife habitats, and sustainable land use.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for property management and natural capital enhancement projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

 

What’s expected of the Land & Property Manager

  • Highly motivated, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a can-do attitude.
  • Significant experience in land and rural management, with a deep understanding of industry practices and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to effectively interact with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to grow the role and build a team to support the expanding portfolio.

 

On offer for the Land & Property Manager

  • Basic salary of up to £70,000
  • £7,000 car allowance
  • Family cover private healthcare
  • 10% employer pension contribution
  • 8 x Life Assurance
  • Bonus max 22.5% (11.25% on target)
  • 24 days annual leave plus 10 public holidays (and up to 3 service days)
  • Hybrid working policy of 3 + 2
