A dynamic and forward-thinking architectural practice in York is looking to add a super talented Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join their team to support the design of a stunning portfolio of design-led project work.
Working mainly up to RIBA stage 3, this well-established practice has steadily grown in recent years and now a boast a talented team of 20 which is made up of Architects, Assistants and Technologists, they are regarded as having one of the best design-led portfolio in the Yorkshire region. As such, they have forged a formidable reputation for delivering notable projects specifically within the high end bespoke Residential and Leisure / Hospitality (hotels) and commercial sectors, the majority of these projects are based in York and London typically up to £10-£20m in value, the projects in London are classed as “super prime residential” with most of the builds and refurbishments being in the Mayfair and Chelsea area. The Hotel projects are of a boutique nature with the focus being on contemporary design and creating the wow factor!

With a solid pipeline of work secured this year, they now find themselves in the fantastic position to expand the team with the addition of a Part 2 Architectural Assistant. Having recently mentored and supported several Part 2’s on their journey to becoming fully qualified, this opportunity represents the ideal springboard for those keen to become fully qualified and mentored through those important early years as an Architect.


Part 2 Architectural Assistant requirements as follows

* RIBA Part 2 qualified Architectural Assistant
* Demonstrable UK experience - ideally at Part 2 level within a UK based Architectural Practice
* Working knowledge of UK Building Regulations
* Strong written & verbal communication skills
* Proficiency with Revit design application.
* Ability to support the production of tender packages.
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD design application and Adobe Suite
* Good solid stage 3 planning experience (from initial feasibility studies, outline planning, pre-applications, to preparing and submitting full planning applications, planning condition discharges and be familiar with Section 73 planning applications)
* Preparing planning feasibility reports, design & access statements, preparing planning submissions, liaising with clients, planning officers etc.

The successful Part 2 Architectural Assistant shall receive a competitive salary in the region of £25,000 - £27,000 per annum + the following benefits 25 days holiday
