Planner

Our client is a leading energy services contractor dedicated to delivering high-quality electrical transmission projects. Their team in Glasgow is expanding, and they are looking for a skilled and experienced Planner to join them in driving forward ambitious projects.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Planner who will play a pivotal role in the planning and delivery of electrical transmission projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning within the construction industry, and if you also happen to have specific experience in electrical transmission, then even better! Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for electrical transmission projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Utilize planning software and tools to optimize project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Planner in the energy sector, specifically with electrical transmission projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or similar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant degree in engineering, project management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.
