Position: Principal Bridge Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As Principal Bridge Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of bridge projects throughout the UK.
This position requires a Chartered Engineer with a strong background in bridge engineering, an excellent understanding of Network Rail (NR) Common Framework, and Network Rail Contractor Responsible Engineer (CRE) duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage bridge design projects, from initial concept through to construction.
- Utilise your expertise in TEDDS, and AutoCAD to develop detailed design and analysis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective bridge solutions.
- Perform structural calculations and assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers.
- Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development efforts.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) and membership with a recognised engineering institution.
- Proven track record of delivering successful bridge projects in the UK.
- Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards and procedures.
- Previous experience as a CRE for bridge projects is highly desirable.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management abilities. An in-depth understanding of health and safety regulations.
