Job Title: Principal Structural Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a growing team as a Principal Structural Engineer based in Belfast.
Our client has revealed plans for their Belfast office to increase significantly over the next 12 months- this includes a move into a new office space as the current headcount of 65 has outgrown the limits of the current office.
The Belfast office collaborates with several other offices as they all work on a diverse range of projects across Northern Ireland and mainland UK such as Casement Park Stadium, Royal Victoria Hospital Energy Centre, Ballycastle Educational Campus to highlight a few.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the structural engineering team, providing guidance and technical expertise to clients and junior team members.
- Oversee the design and analysis of structures, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
- Take ownership of projects from conception through to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables within specified timeframes and budgets.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status with a recognised professional institution.
- Proven experience in leading structural engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in structural analysis and design software.
- Familiarity with BIM processes.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
