Principal Structural Engineer

£70,000 - £90,000 plus benefits
Our client is seeking a principal structural engineer who has a strong background in structural design and analysis. You will be responsible for designing and overseeing projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant engineering and regulatory standards.
You will develop project design plans and resource allocation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Part of your role will be to manage sub-consultants sand lead multi-discipline engineering meetings to ensure coordination throughout the design stages.
There is a culture of multiple team cooperation to resolve technical issues, and you will have significant input into meetings. Preparation of technical reports and documentation to communicate design concepts, specifications and recommendations form part of your workload, so effective and clear communication skills are vital.
The successful principal structural engineer will have good man management skills with the ability to get the most out of your team whilst staying updated on industry trends.
Chartered or near Chartered engineer with a degree in civil or structural engineering with a proven track record of structural design.
