Responsibilities:
- Undertake detailed cost analysis and feasibility studies for new build residential projects.
- Prepare accurate estimates, budgets, and cost plans, considering all aspects of construction.
- Monitor and manage project costs, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to assess project requirements and negotiate favorable terms.
- Prepare and evaluate tender documents, including bills of quantities and contract documentation.
- Effectively manage variations, claims, and contractual disputes, providing optimal solutions.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with project managers to support the successful delivery of projects.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, construction methods, and material costs for innovative cost-effective strategies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within new build residential projects or from a main contractor environment.
- In-depth knowledge of quantity surveying practices, cost estimation, contract administration, and project cost control.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data accurately.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to establish and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for quantity surveying.
- Sound understanding of building regulations, codes, and industry standards.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is desirable
