We are looking for an experience Quantity Surveyor to join an energy services client of ours to assist with the commercial delivery of a variety of electrical and EV related works.

The Quantity Surveyor will work with a team of construction managers, designers, planners, schedulers, and electricians who will handle the planning and scheduling of surveys, design, and installation work. The team will be located out of our Liverpool office.

To guarantee project success, they will collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and other team members. As part of the projects, the Quantity Surveyor will commercially oversee electrical and civil work related to the delivery of EV charging stations.

  • Commercial Management: assisting in maintaining our adherence to business protocols and guidelines.
  • Risk management: prompt detection, reduction, and dissemination of program hazards
  • Establishing and preserving relationships: forming enduring bonds with our stakeholders and clients. This entails keeping lines of communication open, learning about their objectives and wants, and responding to any issues or escalations.
  • Maintaining systems and procedures that will help create a work pipeline that is both financially feasible and sustainable while adhering to any Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that may be in place.
  • Cooperating with other team members: ensuring that client needs are satisfied and that we are offering the best service possible, we work in conjunction with internal and external partners

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in quantity surveying.
  • Experience in electrical or civil engineering is desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.
  • Experience of standard forms of contract, including NEC form.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Effective time management skills to ensure project completion within the given timeline.
  • Strong decision-making skills, capable of making informed decisions that align with project objectives.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, including the CDM Regulations.
