Role and Responsibilities:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering a range of construction projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing cost estimates and budgets.
  • Conducting feasibility studies.
  • Managing tender documentation and processes.
  • Performing risk and value management.
  • Monitoring project progress and providing financial reports.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Providing expert advice on contractual matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction consultancy.
  • MRICS qualified or working towards chartership
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
  • Proficient in cost management and project control techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

 

On offer for the Quantity Surveyor:

  • Salary £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience and chartership
  • 25 days annual leave plus public holidays
  • Life assurance four times annual salary
