Senior Architectural Technologist

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Architectural Technologist to join an award-winning Architecture and Building Consultancy practice in Huddersfield, operating nationally across the UK.

You’ll be stepping into a pivotal role within our partnered clients established multi-disciplinary consultancy, working across the public sector with a focus on maintenance, refurbishment, and new-build projects in Education, Healthcare, and Residential settings. This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects from inception to completion, combining your technical skills with leadership assistance to guide a talented team.

As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will:

  • Lead and manage architectural projects through all RIBA stages, ensuring high technical standards and compliance with building regulations.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of Architectural Technologists, providing guidance, technical expertise, and quality control.
  • Liaise confidently with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Champion the use of Revit and AutoCAD within the team, driving BIM integration and best practice.
  • Proactively resolve design and technical challenges, ensuring robust and buildable solutions.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified with 7+ years post-qualification experience in architectural practice (public sector experience advantageous).
  • Exceptional technical knowledge and a proven track record of delivering projects to a high standard.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with up-to-date knowledge of current building regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to inspire confidence in clients and colleagues alike.
  • Chartered MCIAT status preferred (or working towards).

  • Competitive salary in the region of £40,000 – £47,500 per annum (dependent on experience).
