Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you’ll play a central role in the design and delivery of projects across all RIBA work stages, including:
- Leading projects from concept through to completion, ensuring quality, technical accuracy, and timely delivery.
- Acting as the main client contact, leading design and technical meetings.
- Producing detailed planning, tender, and construction drawing packages.
- Attending and overseeing site meetings, liaising with contractors and sub-contractors throughout the build process.
- Ensuring all designs comply with UK Building Regulations, planning legislation, and sustainability standards.
- Embracing and utilising the latest BIM and design software (Vectorworks experience desirable; training available).
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practice.
About You - You’ll be a confident and technically strong Senior Architectural Technologist who thrives in a job-running role. Ideally, you’ll have:
- 5–10 years’ UK-based experience in a senior technical or project delivery capacity.
- Excellent technical knowledge and a solution-focused approach to problem solving.
- A strong understanding of the UK planning system, Building Regulations, and modern construction methods.
- Proficiency in BIM-compatible software (Vectorworks experience advantageous, training provided if needed).
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to lead project teams effectively.
- A genuine passion for sustainable architecture and environmentally responsible design.
