Senior Bid Writer

Our client, a leading housing maintenance and construction provider, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Bid Writer to join their team. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, they deliver high-quality solutions to our clients in the housing and construction sector.

Role Overview: As a Senior Bid Writer, you will play a pivotal role in their business development efforts by leading the creation of compelling bids and proposals. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, estimators, and subject matter experts, to develop winning strategies and articulate our value proposition effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end bid process, from initial opportunity identification to submission, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.
  • Conduct comprehensive research to understand client needs, market trends, and competitor activities, leveraging this insight to tailor bid responses.
  • Write and edit persuasive, high-quality content for proposals, demonstrating a clear understanding of technical concepts and solutions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and incorporate technical input into bid documents.
  • Review and refine bid documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company branding and messaging.
  • Continuously improve bid processes and templates to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bid writing within the construction, housing maintenance, or related industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A strategic mindset with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bid management software (e.g., Aconex, Procore, or similar).
  • A collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.

 This position is based in Bathgate, with hybrid working options available. They offer flexibility to work remotely while ensuring regular collaboration and communication with the team.
