Senior Building Surveyor

Our client is a leading building surveying firm that provides expert advice and services across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, residential, and the public sector. With offices across the UK, they deliver solutions that help their clients to achieve their strategic goals. They are currently looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join their team in Leeds. In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, as well as providing professional advice and support to clients on a range of building-related matters.

 

The Role:

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting building surveys, inspections, and defect diagnosis
  • Preparing reports, specifications, and schedules of work
  • Providing expert advice on building regulations, planning regulations, and health and safety legislation
  • Monitoring and managing project costs and liaising with contractors and other stakeholders
  • Undertaking contract administration and project management duties
  • Mentoring junior staff members

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Chartered Membership of RICS
  • Experience in both project and professional building surveying
  • Excellent knowledge of building regulations, planning regulations, and health and safety legislation
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
