Salary: £50,000 - £60,000.

The Role of the Senior Building Surveyor:
I am seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join my client’s dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to take a leading role in delivering high-quality surveying services across a variety of sectors. You will be responsible for carrying out building and condition surveys, providing planning advice, and managing small works from specification to completion.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Building Surveyor:

  • Conduct building and condition surveys for a range of properties.
  • Offer expert planning advice to clients, guiding them through relevant regulations and processes.
  • Prepare detailed specifications for small works projects and manage them through to successful completion.
  • Deliver consultancy services including defect diagnosis, property inspections, and feasibility studies.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Mentor junior surveyors and assist with their professional development where required.

Requirements for the Senior Building Surveyor:

  • Degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
  • MRICS qualified or working towards this qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, planning processes, and project management.
  • Proven experience in conducting building and condition surveys.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
