Quantity Surveyor – Leeds

I'm currently working with a growing consultancy based in Leeds that's looking to bring a driven and dependable Quantity Surveyor into their expanding team.
You'll be joining a small but experienced team, where you’ll have the autonomy to manage your own projects, but with the support and mentoring structure in place to help you grow.

What You’ll Be Doing
This is a hands-on QS role, with involvement from early-stage planning right through to final accounts. You’ll be expected to lead day-to-day QS duties, including:
Cost Planning
- Preparing estimates across all RIBA stages
- Advising on materials, construction methods, and lifecycle costs
- Ensuring cost plans are accurate and aligned with budgets
Pre-Contract Duties
- Advising on procurement, tendering, and risk management
- Preparing tender documents and evaluating submissions
- Supporting clients with contract selection and negotiation
Post-Contract Duties
- Monitoring budgets and producing cost reports
- Valuing completed work and processing payments
- Managing variations and final accounts
- Advising on contractual procedures throughout the project lifecycle
What They’re Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- MRICS qualification with at least 2 years post-chartership experience
- A degree from a RICS-accredited course
- Solid pre- and post-contract QS experience, ideally with a mix of sector exposure
