Conrad Consulting is working with a leading interior fit-out contractor who are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Estimator to join our client in Glasgow.
Job Description:
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the business’s success. You will be responsible for accurately estimating and costing projects, ensuring the delivery of detailed tender submissions and budget costs. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a proven track record in the construction industry who can contribute to a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present detailed cost estimates for projects, considering all project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with the project management team to understand project scopes, objectives, and client expectations.
- Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing trends and material costs.
- Provide clear and accurate budget costs for projects and assist in value engineering to optimize cost-efficiency.
- Work closely with the bid team to develop comprehensive tender submissions.
- Analyse project risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential cost overruns.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and liaise with clients and design teams to ensure all requirements are understood and met.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
