Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager:
- Lead and manage a team of project managers and consultants in delivering complex construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, quality, and timeline objectives.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop detailed project plans, establishing project goals, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, identifying and proactively resolving any issues or risks that may arise.
- Conduct regular project status meetings, keeping all relevant parties updated on project developments and adjusting plans as necessary.
- Manage project budgets, continuously monitoring costs and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Implement effective project management methodologies, tools, and processes to optimize project delivery and quality.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Requirements of the Senior Project Manager:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, preferably within a consultancy environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale construction projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- In-depth understanding of construction regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deliverables effectively.
- Experience in cost management and contract administration is highly advantageous.
- Professional qualification (e.g., APM, MCIOB, MRICS) is desirable.
- Flexibility to travel as required.
On offer for the Senior Project Manager:
- The salary range for this position is £55,000 - £65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
