Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager:

 

  • Lead and manage a team of project managers and consultants in delivering complex construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, quality, and timeline objectives.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop detailed project plans, establishing project goals, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and proactively resolving any issues or risks that may arise.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, keeping all relevant parties updated on project developments and adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Manage project budgets, continuously monitoring costs and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Implement effective project management methodologies, tools, and processes to optimize project delivery and quality.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

 

Requirements of the Senior Project Manager:

 

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, preferably within a consultancy environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • In-depth understanding of construction regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deliverables effectively.
  • Experience in cost management and contract administration is highly advantageous.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., APM, MCIOB, MRICS) is desirable.
  • Flexibility to travel as required.

 

On offer for the Senior Project Manager:

  • The salary range for this position is £55,000 - £65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays with the ability to buy/sell
