Our client, a leading real estate and property construction consultancy based in Birmingham, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering multiple complex construction projects while ensuring quality, budget control, and adherence to timelines. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing projects across a range of sectors including education, healthcare, commercial, retail and defence.
Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager:
- Lead and manage multiple construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered within budget, on time, and to the client's requirements.
- Develop and implement project strategies, plans, and schedules, closely monitoring progress and providing regular reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Effectively manage project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring collaboration and successful project delivery.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, developing contingency plans to maintain project momentum and resolve any challenges that arise.
- Liaise and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives, providing expert advice and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, industry standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to specifications and contractual agreements.
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring cost control measures are in place throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
Requirements of the Senior Project Manager:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry, managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
- Solid financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and contract management.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Flexibility to travel as required for project site visits and client meetings.
On offer for the Senior Project Manager:
- The salary range for this position is £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience and
- 25 days annual leave plus bank/public holidays
