Senior Project Manager

We’re currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join a leading Global Multi-disciplinary Construction Consultancy, based in Manchester.

About the Role of the Senior Project Manager:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Project Manager with a strong construction background and a proven track record of delivering complex projects across a range of sectors. These may include, but are not limited to, Healthcare, Education, Commercial Offices, and Data Centres.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager:

  • Manage all stages of the construction lifecycle, from site acquisition through to project handover, ensuring delivery against time, cost, and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate closely with investors and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project.
  • Establish and maintain project budgets, monitor costs, and implement cost-effective strategies while maintaining high standards.
  • Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays or budget impacts.
  • Ensure full compliance with legal, building, and environmental regulations across all projects.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, provide mentorship to junior staff, and promote a positive, collaborative team environment.
  • Deliver comprehensive project reporting and maintain accurate, detailed documentation.
  • Support business development by identifying and pursuing new opportunities with existing and prospective clients.

Requirements of the Senior Project Manager:

  • In-depth knowledge of JCT and NEC3 contract frameworks.
  • Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Chartered status with MRICS, MAPM, ChPP, or MCIOB.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong background managing large-scale construction schemes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with great attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
