Are you an experienced and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity to join an established real estate and property consultancy? Our client, based in Sheffield, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in their dynamic and growing team.

Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of quantity surveying disciplines, including cost planning, tender documentation, contract administration, procurement, cost forecasting, and final accounts
  • Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure projects are delivered within budget and scheduled timeframes
  • Carry out site visits and inspections to ensure contractual compliance and quality control
  • Prepare accurate and detailed reports, estimates, and valuations
  • Provide expert advice on contractual disputes and claims resolution
  • Mentor and support junior members of the team, promoting their professional growth within the company

 

Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a consultancy environment
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered status with a professional body (RICS, CIOB, or similar) is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and relevant legislation
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in using industry software and digital tools
