We’re working with a global, multi-disciplinary consultancy that’s looking to bring a Senior Quantity Surveyor into their growing Bristol office. With a strong project pipeline across the healthcare, defence, and commercial sectors, this is a great opportunity to take on complex, high-profile work within a well-established team.
The Role
You’ll be delivering a range of cost management services across both new-build and refurbishment projects—typically medium to large-scale schemes within secure or technically complex environments.
This is a client-facing role, where you’ll be trusted to manage your own projects, contribute to client relationships, and support junior team members. You’ll work alongside experienced Directors and Associates, with clear scope for progression to Associate level and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Pre- and post-contract cost management
-
Cost planning, procurement advice, and tender analysis
-
Contract administration and change control
-
Preparing reports and presenting to clients/stakeholders
-
Supporting junior team members and APC candidates
-
Building long-term relationships with key clients
What They’re Looking For:
-
MRICS (or working towards chartership with relevant experience)
-
Consultancy QS background, ideally with healthcare, defence, or commercial project exposure
-
Confident delivering projects independently and communicating with clients
-
Strong technical skills and commercial awareness
-
Eligible for security clearance (desirable for defence work)
What’s on Offer:
-
Salary of £60,000 – £65,000 (depending on experience)
-
25 days holiday + bank holidays
-
Flexible hybrid working (no set office days)
-
Private healthcare, pension & life assurance
-
Paid professional fees + full APC support if required
-
Progression route toward Associate level
If you’re a confident QS ready to take the lead on complex projects—and want to join a global consultancy that still offers a local, supportive feel—this is a great move.
