An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an award-winning Building and Construction Consultancy based on the outskirts of Manchester, with free on-site parking.
This is a fantastic role for an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to progress in their career, with occasional travel to regional offices as required.
About the Role of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take on a pivotal, client-facing position, offering expert advice across a diverse portfolio of projects. Sectors include Residential, Social Housing, Education, Heritage, and Local Authority. You’ll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, supporting key decisions to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Prepare cost plans and budget estimates
- Manage procurement, administer contracts, and assist in resolving disputes
- Oversee cost control processes and ensure value for money
- Identify and manage project risks
- Lead value engineering exercises where appropriate
- Mentor junior surveyors and contribute to team development
Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- MRICS accreditation in Quantity Surveying
- Experience as an Employer’s Agent is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently and manage a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
