As they embark on an exciting new project on the outskirts of Edinburgh, we are seeking a talented Senior Site Manager to join their team and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional homes to their customers.
Role Overview: As a Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, from inception to completion, ensuring that the project is delivered to the highest standards of quality, on time, and within budget. You will lead a team of skilled tradespeople and subcontractors, utilising your proven experience within house building, to drive production forward efficiently while minimising the need for remedial works. The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership and management skills, with a passion for delivering excellence in every aspect of their work.
- Manage all on-site activities, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality control, to ensure the timely and successful completion of the project.
- Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of tradespeople and subcontractors to achieve production targets and maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities, to ensure that project requirements are met, and any issues are resolved promptly.
- Monitor project progress against key performance indicators and take proactive measures to address any deviations from the plan.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to identify and rectify any construction defects or deviations from specifications.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to the project, including progress reports, budgets, and site diaries.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior site management role within the house building industry, with a track record of successfully delivering residential projects from inception to completion.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of professionals.
- Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid CSCS card and relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field.
