Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer
Location: Glasgow
Overview:
Our client is an award-winning medium sized engineering consultancy with offices throughout Scotland. Currently they have a headcount of 70+ staff.
They are considered a traditional multi-disciplinary with projects spanning across multiple sectors that include Brewing and Distilling, Industrial, Commercial, Hotels, Education, Leisure and Residential.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our team, contributing your expertise in various building structures. Although this role is more of a client facing role than a traditional design position, our client is looking for individuals with a strong understanding of Structural design and engineering principles.
Responsibilities:
- Review the structural design of mainly industrially focused projects.
- Liaise closely with clients, maintaining current client relationships whilst attracting new business.
- Represent the business at various networking events.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Ensure compliance and industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
- Extensive experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building structures.
- Chartered status with a recognised engineering institution (desired).
- Strong proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
ON OFFER:
- £40,000 - £50,000, commensurate with experience.
