Senior Structural Engineer
Role Overview:
We are partnering with a leading specialist engineering consultancy based in Cheshire. Due to continued business expansion, they are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile projects, including football stadiums, major event arenas, railway stations, and MOD/defence buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting complex structural calculations and analyses to assess the impact of extreme loads and blast events.
- Developing detailed structural engineering designs to ensure the safety and resilience of structures under such conditions.
- Utilising computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify structural plans.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate blast-resistant design solutions.
- Ensuring all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to their professional development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status (MICE or MISTructE) is desirable.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design
- Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards.
- Experience with CAD and structural analysis software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
