We are working with a leading refurbishment and fit out contractor specialising in delivering high-quality projects across Scotland. With a commitment to excellence and a track record of successful project completion, they are seeking a skilled Site Manager to join their dynamic team.

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Role Overview: As a Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing internal refurbishment and fit out projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful delivery of projects, managing construction programmes, and ensuring high-quality finishes in line with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee refurbishment and fit out projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations on-site, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or delays that may arise during construction.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Manage site logistics, including materials procurement, equipment deployment, and site security.
  • Provide regular progress reports to project management and stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status and milestones.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager, with a focus on refurbishment and fit out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage construction programmes and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce compliance on-site.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field would be advantageous.
