Structural Engineer

£40,000 - £45,000 plus benefits
Our client is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their Building Structures team in Epsom. They provide multidisciplinary engineering service solutions across a wide range of projects relating to buildings and infrastructure.
Our client plays a leading role in some of the world’s most challenging engineering projects across sectors including aviation, education, commercial, residential, defence, energy and transportation.
The role:
- Develop conceptual solutions to problems through to detailed design;
- Assist in the execution of projects within defined design and cost parameters;
- Undertake research, data collection and presentation of information;
- Present results to clients under supervision of lead designer;
- Comply with Quality and Technical Assurance Procedures and work in compliance with BIM standards, Digital Plan of Work and the project BIM Execution plan;
- Represent the company on site visits and at design team meetings;
- Assist/mentor the development of apprentices and less experienced staff.
About you:
- Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering;
- Graduate Member of relevant body (IStructE or ICE);
- Working towards or achieved Chartered Membership (IStructE or ICE);
- Proven experience in the design of structures using the conventional engineering materials (steel concrete, timber, masonry) to Eurocodes;
- Experience in the use of structural analysis design software (Robot Structural Analysis and Revit experience is desirable but not essential);
- Strong communication and presentation skills that can support client relationships;
- Flexibility and willingness to travel and work within other offices for periods of time;
- Experience with parametric modelling software and software coding (Dynamo, python, C++ etc) is desirable and may be a development target.
