Job Overview:

As a Structural Engineer, you will play a vital role in the success of our client's projects. Working closely with a team of experienced professionals, you will be involved in all aspects of designing, analysing, and overseeing the construction of various building structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop efficient and cost-effective structural designs.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate existing structures and assess their stability and integrity.
  • Perform detailed calculations and analyses to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and construction drawings.
  • Assist in project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
  • Stay up to date with industry advancements and utilise cutting-edge software and technology to enhance design processes.
  • Support the professional development of junior engineers through mentorship and guidance.
  • Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in structural engineering, preferably within the construction or consulting industry.
  • Proficient in using relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Tekla Tedds etc
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards, including Eurocodes and British Standards. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
